Welcome back! It's a new year with new beginnings. To add some "spice" to this years 5th grade book clubs, you now have the option of checking out a Kindle with the book club book loaded onto it. How exciting is that?! Of course, good old fashioned hardback books are still available for checkout as well. In order to check out the Kindle, please return the Kindle permission slip to the media center. Upon receipt of the completed form signed by student and parent, the Kindle may be checked out. Click here to access the Kindle permission slip.Our first book club of the year is on Monday, October 22nd during lunch! We will be discussing Wonder by R.J. Palacio. It is one of the BEST books that I have read recently so I think you are really going to enjoy it. Copies are available for check out in the media center and may be checked out from your local public library as well. Whether you choose to read the book via a Kindle or a "regular" book, we hope you will read Wonder so that you can discover the wonder of this great book!
